There are 144 registered participants in the conference. 2. 100 participants will be accommodated in hotels. 3. 75 of the 100 will stay in the same hotel the whole period – 25 persons will have to stay the first night in another hotel. The reasons for this is shortage of hotel space at the moment. 4. All the hotels are in the city of Stavanger with the exception of three places used the first night. People will be contacted directly about this. 4. People are quarted by nations as far as possible. Some groups have been split. However, the rate you have been given is a generous one taking into consideration that you have meals and the conference fee included. 5. How to reach your hotel Take the airport shuttle (Flybussen) and get off the bus at Central bus station if nothing else is stated. 5.A: ”Gamle Salten” – hotel ship placed just beyond the market place in Stavanger harbour. Walking distance: 15 minutes from the central bus station. Walk from the central bus station along the RIGHT hand side of the small lake/pond in front of you. At the end of the lake you will pass Thon Hotel (see 5.B below) on your right and Stavanger Cathedral (a medium sized stone church) on your left. You will see the market place and the harbour in front of you. You will find ”Gamle Salten” on the right hand side of the harbour just 500 meters from the Stavanger Cathedral. http://www.gamlesalten.no/ 5.B: Thon hotel - Stavanger Adress: Kongsgata 32, Stavanger Walking distance: 5 minutes from the Central bus station. Start following the walking description above and you will arrive at the hotel (right hand side of the small lake just in front of the central bus station). Follow the same direction that leads to ”Gamle Salten” hotel ship (see 5.A above). Just continue your walk for another few minutes. Turn right, walk past the traffic lights crossing and take the first street to the left, after the crossing, Then you are in Peder Claussonsgt. and the house no. is 22. Walk up the stairs to the parking lot above the station area. Turn right and walk towards the street (Olav 5 gate).
