The coordinating institution in Slovenia is Institute for Slovenian Emigration Studies ZRC SAZU, main research institution in the field of migration research in Slovenia. The national coordinators are Marina Luksic-Hacin (Ph. D. of sociology, research associate, lecturer at the University of Nova Gorica, from 1999 head of the Institute) and Jernej Mlekuz (Ph. D. of humanities, postdoctoral research assistant at the Institute).

Sloveninan team involves very different institutions in the field od education and research (kindergarten, primary and secondary schools, university, educational and research institutions, museum).
